One who sings prays twice.
— Saint Augustine

a rich musical tradition

Our parish is blessed with a strong and vibrant music program. Together as a parish, we cherish these central pillars of our faith; our music and liturgy provide a bridge to the local community and draw members closer to God and to one another.

St. Andrew’s Church has a forty-rank pipe organ, which was rebuilt and installed in 2011. Our new organ has bolstered our Advent and Lenten Evensong services and enabled us to offer larger-scale musical works with rich organ and orchestral accompaniment, as well as voices from a wider circle of choral and instrumental friends.

We are also home to two choirs:

  • Junior Choir: The Junior Choir sings at the 10:15 service on the first Sunday of each month, in addition to special Eucharists and occasional community events. Young people in grades three and up may join.

  • Chancel Choir: Led by our music director and organist, the adult choir sings at the 10:15 service each Sunday, as well as at holiday Eucharists and occasional community events. Members need not have previous singing experience, just a love for music!

To inquire about joining our choirs, see Hilary after any 10:15am service on Sunday!
