Community Partners

We partner with other congregations and organizations to love our neighbor and serve God in our immediate and far-reaching communities. If you are interested in taking part in any of our programs, use the contact form for more information.

Feeding Ministries

We maintain a network of community partnerships that enables hundreds of people beyond our own members to join together through St. Andrew’s to feed our neighbors. Click here to read more about what we do and how to get involved. Our primary partners include Caring for Friends, the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen, Penndel Food Pantry, and the Interfaith Food Alliance.

Bucks County Housing Group (BCHG)

Parishioners work in tandem with Bucks County Housing Group to help provide transitional housing for those moving from homelessness to self-sufficiency, as well as to build community with families in affordable housing. We join together with residents of BCHG’s Robert Morris Apartments in Morrisville to create and maintain a community garden, and continue to host events together in the garden to celebrate our shared community.

Interfaith Partnerships

St. Andrew’s partners with other congregations across faith traditions to build community and mutual understanding, and put our shared faith into action.

A few of the ways we do this include:

  • Bucks County Interfaith Coalition on Refugee Resettlement: Since the 1990s, St. Andrew’s has provided welcome and a new home to refugees. For the last 10 years, we have done this in partnership with BCICRR to welcome two Syrian families and now an Afghan family and assist with all aspects of resettlement.

  • Interfaith Community Garden: Parish volunteers helped create and maintain the interfaith community garden, with produce donated to local feeding programs.

  • Interfaith Food Alliance: We collect donations of money and non-perishable foods and provide volunteers for our local food pantry in Morrisville.

St. James Episcopal School

St. James School is a faith-based Philadelphia middle school in the Episcopal tradition, encouraging the development of the moral, spiritual, intellectual, physical and creative gifts in its students. St. James actively works within its local community in North Philadelphia to provide food, basic medical care, job counseling, and other assistance aimed at removing obstacles and adding resources.

You’re invited to carpool with St. Andrew’s on Saturday mornings to volunteer at the Welcome Table, St. James’ weekly farmers market and food program, where we help set up, greet people, and break down. There are also opportunities to tutor kids, offer adult education classes, and put specific skills (such as tech and computer, theatre, or legal expertise) to good use. And we always have FUN!

Recovery and Mental Health Programs

We aim for wholeness and healing for all people, and know how essential it is to find the right support. AA, Alanon, CMA, and other recovery groups meet in our Parish House and we actively seek to provide welcoming space for groups to meet. We also periodically offer retreats on the Spirituality of Recovery that explore the wisdom of the 12-steps for all people.

We also partner with the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) to combat stigma and support those experiencing mental illness.
