Rev. Joanne Epply-Schmidt
Rector
Joanne began her ordained career in Parish ministry, focusing on children and youth. 10 years later, she joined “Storytelling a Arts of New Jersey“, working for 10 years as a Storyteller and Teaching Artist in the Juvenile Justice system and Young Adult residential programs in New Jersey.
The next 7 year phase of her ministry brought her into short and long-term supply preaching, retreat and workshop leadership in several parishes in the United States and Canada. Joanne returned to Parish ministry serving as Associate Rector of Trinity Church Princeton for six years until her formal retirement in 2023. Three days later, Joanne headed out to British Columbia, Canada, and spent the next year and a half as a visiting priest on Vancouver Island and interim Rector Vancouver.
Joanne is delighted to be licensed in the Diocese of Pennsylvania and to have been so warmly welcomed into the community of Saint Andrews.
