Serve the Church

We Need Your Gifts!

There are many ways to serve God and God’s people through the church, while also developing your own sense of purpose and ministry in life. And we need your gifts! Let us know how we can connect you to serve.

A man dressed as a priest is holding a brass bell above his head during a religious ceremony in a church decorated with poinsettias and Christmas decorations.
Woman standing behind a table with canned drinks, snacks, and a bottle of tomato juice at an outdoor event in a park, with people in the background around tables of food.
A woman with curly red hair and a black top is talking to a woman with short blonde hair and a black shirt at a table with brochures. A young man with a plaid shirt and black cap is standing nearby. The table has a sign that says "Free Water and Pretzels" and is decorated with a basket of pink and orange flowers. The scene is outdoors in front of houses.
  • A group of children and adults gathered inside a church with stained glass windows, listening to a woman in a green robe speaking, with another woman in white nearby. The children are standing and sitting around a table with backpacks and belongings.

    Sunday Worship

From the Altar Guild that prepares the sanctuary for worship, to the choir, readers, acolytes, ushers, greeters, and the tech team working behind the scenes, it takes a community to make worship happen! We always welcome new people to get involved and offer training and mentorship so you know what to do along the way.

  • People decorating cookies at a table during a social gathering. There are various decorated cookies, icings, and decorating supplies on the table. Two women and two children are actively decorating cookies, while two men are standing nearby and conversing.

    Hospitality and Community Building

Create welcoming spaces for friendships and community to grow at coffee hour and parish events, help plan church outings, or lead a small group. The ministry of hospitality sets a table for all.

  • A collection of food and household items on a windowsill in front of stained glass windows. The items include cans, boxes of cereal, jars, and bottles, with a framed sign that has a message about St. Andrew's community.

    Outreach and Justice

Make meals, volunteer at food pantries, assist in refugee resettlement, collaborate around racial justice, tutor, support education and learning, assist in organizing parish collections – and so much more! You can go with parishioners to volunteer with one of our community partner organizations, or join the Outreach and Justice Committee to help organize and engage our parish.

  • A group of six people, including three women and three men, sitting and talking in a room with posters on the wall, holding papers. One woman is wearing a patterned dress, another woman has a bun hairstyle, and a man is wearing a yellow shirt. The atmosphere appears to be a discussion or a meeting.

    Deepening Spirituality/ Christian Formation

Grow in your relationship with God through weekly drop in groups, quarterly retreat days, book groups and special studies, or by helping to teach kids and teens (a great way to learn about the Bible and church history!).

  • A group of people gathered in a living room celebrating a birthday, with balloons, a sign saying 'Happy Birthday Tony,' and various gifts and decorations around.

    Pastoral Care

Support parishioners who are homebound or going through major life transitions as a Lay Eucharistic Minister, monthly package delivery driver, card writer, or meal maker.

  • Two women sitting at a table under a white canopy, selling handmade knitted items and supporting a community sharing house. The table has knitted hats, gloves, and informational pamphlets, with a large sign about donations and support.

    Administration

Join the faithful members of the finance committee, stewardship campaign, or the property committee to help steward the church’s assets – physical and financial.
