Rev. Kyle Evans

Deacon

The Rev. Kyle Evans was ordained to the vocational diaconate of the Episcopal Diocese of Pennsylvania on February 22 and began serving at St. Andrew’s in 2025. As a deacon, Kyle has a vocation of service and helps all in the church listen and discover how God is callling them. She serves the diocese on behalf of the bishop, works to bring our church to the world and the world to the church, and has a full-time job outside of her role at St. Andrew’s.

Kyle joined the Episcopal Community Services staff in November 2022. She serves as Chaplain, supporting the ECS mission and vision in four primary ways-pastoral care to all staff and those who ECS serves, working with the advocacy team, raising awareness about the political factors, systems and agencies that support or undermine the rights of marginalized communities; coordinating volunteers from faith communities; and visiting the churches of the Episcopal Diocese of Pennsylvania to share the story of ECS, hoping to foster deeper relationships with the parishes, including financial commitment and volunteerism.

Born and raised in Washington, DC, Kyle has spent the last 30+ years in the Philadelphia area. She and her family have been members of Trinity Episcopal Church of Solebury. Kyle has a long history of work with youth and young adults, always with a focus on service and partnership in communities of the underserved. This has particularly been the case in the West and North Philadelphia corridor. Kyle has also been committed to similar efforts in Kenya and, as a Missioner, in the Episcopal Diocese of Haiti. She received a BA from Dickinson College, Carlisle, PA and was awarded a certificate in youth ministry from Princeton Seminary. She is married with 3 grown sons and 2 granddaughters.
