Outreach & Justice
Our Outreach & Justice Committee Needs Your Help:
You can donate to our community partners (like St. James and the Interfaith Food Alliance) through the St. Andrew’s website. Simply go to:
Our Sharing House (the grey tiny house on the corner of West Afton and Penn Valley Road) is open 24/7 to receive donations. The Outreach & Justice Committee makes sure your donations reach our community partners. Please drop off ONLY THE FOLLOWING ITEMS:
Non-Perishable Food
Demand at food banks spiked in 2023 as the national poverty rate has doubled. Both the St. James Welcome Table & Interfaith Food Alliance need your donations of non-perishable food items, cleaning supplies and personal items. Particularly needed are: canned vegetables, pasta sauce, dried beans, cereal, peanut butter & jelly, granola bars, diapers, toothpaste & brushes, soap, and laundry detergent.
Lightly Used and Clean Clothing
Please continue to leave clothing for people who are homeless to receive through the Trenton Rescue Mission. Any questions, contact Cindy or Bill Vallier 267-392-5088, cindyvallier@comcast.net.
Books
Unwanted children’s books, popular novels, dictionaries and bibles make a difference for kids, families, and organizations in need. Questions, contact Doug Riblet, 215-321-7920, lutzriblet@gmail.com
Please keep in mind that our Sharing House is not a basement, junk room, or dumpster. We are collecting ONLY these items at this time. Please refrain from leaving any items not listed here in the Sharing House (or anywhere else on our campus).
